How to Rotate A PDF Page with Acrobat 9 Pro?

Sometimes when you scanned a document to PDF, the portrait PDF page becomes a landscape one for some reason. In this situation, you need to rotate the PDF page to view the file properly. Most free PDF readers allow you rotate the PDF pages only for temporarily viewing, but not really change the page direction. Here is the tip teaching you how to really rotate PDF pages with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

Step 1 Open the Rotate Pages dialog box using one of the following methods:

  • Choose Document > Rotate Pages.
    Document Rotate

  • From the options menu in the Page Thumbnails panel of the navigation pane, choose Rotate Pages.

Step2 For Direction, select the amount and direction of the rotations: Counterclockwise 90 Degrees, Clockwise 90 Degrees, or 180 Degrees.

Step3 For Pages, specify whether all pages, a selection of pages, or a range of pages are to be rotated.

Step4 From the Rotate menu, specify even pages, odd pages, or both, and select the orientation of pages to be rotated.

If you only want to change your view of the page temporarily, choose View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise. The original page orientation is restored the next time you open the PDF.
